MELITTA (Germany)

The history of MELITTA filter coffee starts in 1908 in Germany when Mrs. Melitta Benz invented an innovative method of coffee preparation now adopted in most countries around the world. With this method, coffee filtered through a special paper filter keeps its full taste and flavour while coffee residues remain in the filter paper.

Today MELITTA continues to produce both: a complete assortment of coffee filters and household products concentrating in the same time upon protecting the environment, the performance of the product and the security and consumers’ protection.

MELITTA produces everything at high ecological standards and has a permanent care for quality in raw material. The modern technology guaranties the standards of the raw materials and materials: weight, density, water-resistance and filtration capacity. Melitta thins that all its products have to have high standards as food, that is why Melitta filters, Melitta foils and Melitta bags suit the same requirements as food.
