 Top 7 tips for looking after your rechargeable batteries
1. Always charge your batteries before the first use. The batteries get discharged during storage and will not be full for the first use.
2. Never mix rechargeable batteries of different brand and mAh capacity in your device and charger.
3. Never try to recharge alkaline, carbon zinc or even lithium batteries. Only NiMH batteries can be recharged safely.
4. Rechargeable batteries always get warm during the charging process. Always keep them away from the reach of children.
5. NiMH batteries don't need to be completely discharged before recharging. Only older NiCd batteries do as they have a memory effect.
6. Rechargeable batteries will gradually lose their charge even if they are not in use.
7. Always check if the charger can charge the chemistry of your rechargeable battery. Whilst a charger may be able to charge another chemistry battery, it can damage the battery and reduce the number of charging cycles of your battery if it is not designed for the specific chemistry.

 

CHARGERS

All Energizer chargers will charge the 2 most popular sizes - AA and AAA. The Quattro charger will also charge 9V batteries, and the Universal will charge all 5 main sizes; AA, AAA, C, D and 9V.
The Energizer range includes chargers that chharge iovernight or as fast in one hour.
Energizer carries a range of chargers which are Energy Star certified, like the Energizer Intelligent Charger or the Compact Charger.
The LED light will show if the battery is being charged and switches off when charging is complete.
The charger will detect if the inserted battery is not rechargeable and will automatically stop the charging process.
